Portland Timbers Game (2-2 Draw)
Last night, Travis and Vince and I went to a Portland Timbers game. (USL Soccer) If you are not familiar with the USL, basically it is one step below Major League Soccer.
It was fun to hangout with Travis and Vince (Travis’ Dad). We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner prior to the game and had some wings. If you haven’t been there before, you should…excellent wings and a TON of TV’s everywhere with Sports on.
The game ended in a 2-2 Draw. The Timbers SHOULD have won but in the first half they scored a goal on themselves (own goal). Also, due to some poor officiating, by the end of the game the Timbers had lost two players to red cards. This put them on the defensive for the last, long, 20 minutes of the game.
The Atlanta Silverbacks scored their 2nd goal with only a couple minutes left in the game to tie it up and that’s how the game ended.
Overall we had a great time!
